sorry for newb question but how would we pay this money? i'd be happy to donate now and again but don't use paypal anymore and i havn't got a credit card so is a chack the only way? sorry for being a bit old fashioned

Erm well again still in the pipeline. I presume bronco would be able to set something up. I imagine it would be via paypal or card transfer, i can't see why a cheque wouldn't be also feasible apart from it being slightly awkward for the reciever...

i need to get with it

i do have a debit card though! i set up a paypal acount but somebody brought a load of apple macs off ebay with it so it's all cancelled now and don't really want to go through that again

Yes kandi WiiTalk is a business. Bronco owns a network of similar sites which make up his little "empire" shall we say. You will no doubt be contributing to more than just servers by donating.

I really dont see how you can class WiiTalk as a business... lol, in my eyes it a resource community..

And also, why would i want to pay a paid subscription to the whole of the so called "empire"?? I have no interest with affiliated sites within the bronco empire, i love being here at WiiTalk and thats something i will enjoy in the future too, being apart of this community!

If i was going to be contributing to WiiTalk and WiiTalk only through a contributions button, i would almost certainly provide a small amount of money.

That is literally all were talking about! Just as a thank you for your generosity you would get contributor privileges. I don't understand what your opposed too here.

I think its worth finding out if many of us are bothered about privileges and would contribute without there being a hook as such .
If I did contribute , I would personally choose not to have any privileges .

What i hated the idea of would be a paid subscription service which you spoke about in the first post, i couldnt think of anything worse. I know that you dont see a problem with his but im sure there is a hell of a lot of WiiTalk Members that would.

Also, as i was speaking about dividing members up earlier, once again you probably may not see this but say 30% of the members at WiiTalk paid the subscription, this means that they would have access to a privilaged forum, aside from the normal WiiTalk members etc. Do you not think that the remaining 70% of WiiTalk Members would just up and leave because of this?

Im not saying i would because i wouldnt as i have made a lot of friends since being on here but im sure there would be a small portion of members that would just up and leave and i wouldnt want to see that happen to WiiTalk as that small amount of people, could be the regulars..

I dont think that if you do give a donation that you should get anything additional. I think the only thing that should happen is in your title underneith your name or be put into another group titled "WiiTalk Contributor" and thats it. Just to show that you are helping to donate to the running of WiiTalk Communities.
