The Next Call of Duty Game Will Be Appearing on The Wii Also
Activision recently discussed several of the titles they plan to release during the fiscal year of 2009. Activision's fiscal year 2009 is April 2008 through March 2009 so many of the titles being talked about will in fact release this calendar year.
Quote:
The majority of the financial talk dealt with the company's two bread winners, Call of Duty and Guitar Hero. Another Call of Duty title was discussed to continue the series of annual releases. This does not necessarily mean that it will be titled Call of Duty 5 or that Infinity Ward will be working on it. In addition to the platforms Call of Duty 4 was released on, this next CoD game will come out on Wii and PS2.
As long as it's not just a ported version from the PS2, like CoD 3 was, this could be a big game for the Wii! Online Play anyone?
Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Battalion Wars 2, Medal of Honour: Heroes 2, Mario Strikers Charged, Excite Truck, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Big Brain Academy, Metal Slug: Anthology, Wii Play, PES 2008, Endless Ocean, Super Paper Mario
DS:
Mario Kart, More Brain Training, Advance Wars: Dark Conflict, 42 All Time Classics, Project rub, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Yoshi's Island DS, Picross DS

nooooooooooooooooo modern warfare is brilliant, never played cod on the wii, was tempted to buy it but went for links crossbow training instead, would be interested more in cod on the wii if it had an excellent online multiplayer mode i think online play on this game is sooooo much better than single player campaign
*Girly Screms* Arrgghhh I love the COD games and was tempted to get another console to play these on as I like them so much.... Looks like I will be sticking with the good ole Wii

Tony Hawk may be taking a bit of a break, but it seems Activision has other plans for the Call of Duty series as they will be making COD5 available for six different platforms (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, Nintendo DS and PS2) when released later this year.
Activision publishing president and CEO Mike Griffith comments: “For Call of Duty, we’re bringing the intensity of the recent Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare title to yet a new military theatre to engage our significantly larger user base which nearly doubled last year”
