Okay, so technically this is Gamecube news, but as quite a few people agree on this forum, the wavebird is the best way to play some VC and all Gamecube games on the Wii.
So it will bring a tear to your eye to hear that it will now be discontinued.
Wavebirds are hard to get at the moment, but following this it will become even harder.
Hopefully Nintendo have something up their sleeve to fill the gap.
Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Battalion Wars 2, Medal of Honour: Heroes 2, Mario Strikers Charged, Excite Truck, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Big Brain Academy, Metal Slug: Anthology, Wii Play, PES 2008, Endless Ocean, Super Paper Mario
DS:
Mario Kart, More Brain Training, Advance Wars: Dark Conflict, 42 All Time Classics, Project rub, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Yoshi's Island DS, Picross DS
360:
Halo 3, Mass Effect, COD 4, Ghost Recon, FIFA 09, Top Spin 3, Portal: Still Alive, Geometry Wars 2: Evolved
I am glad that I have a wavebird, and like said, I will stock up for brawl* before they start going for alot on ebay.
*The reason alot of people are probaly going to use gamecube for brawl is I dont see how you could use a wiimote practically with a fighting game, and since alot of people have been playing smash for a looooonnnnnnggggg time, they probaly have alot of tricks on the gamecube controller.
That's the single most stupid thing that nintendo could have done, when i was choosing my GC controllers for the wii, The wavebird was a couple of quid more, so i thought it was a no brainer.
Who wants wires in this day & age?
