Default Super Smash Bros Not Released Till After June 08!!
Hotly anticipated Wii title Super Smash Bros. Brawl won't be coming out in Europe until after June 2008, Nintendo has confirmed to VideoGamer.com.

They thought something was up when they noticed the game was absent from Nintendo's updated schedule, distributed to media this morning. This seemed odd considering Mario Kart Wii, another high-profile first-party Wii game, was listed as coming out in Q2.

When contacted by VideoGamer.com a Nintendo spokesperson revealed that SSBB won't be out until after Q2 in Europe. SSBB is set for release in the US on February 10, 2008 and January 24, 2008 in Japan.

It seems that Nintendo have no interest in printing money in sterling. I'd liked to have been in on that decision:

Why... I mean.... WHY?!?!?!?!? Europe isn't this tiny little place that rarely buys games anymore. I mean our market in terms of percentages mirriors America now so why the Heck (I wanted to say a naughtier word there!!!) do they not just friggin get it released...

Why screw over Europe.. what possible benifit does this have?????? It isn't going to increase sales....

this annoys me so much, other game developers can do it so why can't nintendo? other game developers have way more translation to do aswell dealing with more advanced engines(360 and ps3 games)

How can they even justify that?!

Nintendo need to start looking after their European customers or they'll get a very bad reputation...

It's annoying that Europe are almost always left till last, but tbh, I don't mind too much. I will have Super Mario Galaxy to keep me going as well as Mario Kart when it's released. It will also mean I can focus on my exams, and treat myself with SSBB when I finish for the summer.
