Nintendo to Unveil 'Core' Titles at E3
Quote:
Nintendo could be unveiling several games for the Wii that will appear to its core fan base at this year's E3, according to comments from a company spokesperson.
Marc Franklin, director of public relations at Nintendo, told GamePro "…we will be announcing several new titles that core gamers will be interested in around the time of E3."
Sure to whip the flames of internet speculation into a veritable inferno, there are no precise details on what the titles may be, though a return to a classic franchise could possibly take the shape of the much rumoured Kid Icarus retread or a truly bespoke new Zelda adventure for the Wii - but don't shoot us if it's neither.
Franklin alluded to the console's fan base, telling GamePro that "The clear majority of people waiting in line outside retailers on Sunday mornings to buy their Wii consoles are core gamers."
I think we were all expecting this to some extent. The likely candidates are surely F-Zero, StarFox and possibly Zelda...
Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero III, Battalion Wars 2, Medal of Honour: Heroes 2, Mario Strikers Charged, Excite Truck, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Big Brain Academy, Metal Slug: Anthology, Wii Play, PES 2008, Endless Ocean, Super Paper Mario
DS:
Mario Kart, More Brain Training, Advance Wars: Dark Conflict, 42 All Time Classics, Project rub, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Yoshi's Island DS, Picross DS
I'd love a new Zelda. TP was brilliant but a brand new Wii exclusive would be brilliant.

I am hoping what they said about TP doesn't come true. For those who don't know, they said that they would try and move it to the more casual audience like Phantom Hourglass.
I also would like a F-Zero game, because all they could do is improve upon MK's Online system.
Welcome to mojo's secret treasure hunt. Follow each clue carefully ...each clue will take you to a post of mine where you'll find the next clue.
Clue #1: A noise is my riddle ... like a horn but not a fiddle. I'm not at the end and i'm not in the middle.
Also would like to see AC: Wii. that'll be great. With the ability to visit a friend's town without having them to be online (with good security measures of course) !
Hope nobody makes the error of naming their town 'HOME' .
