Just what I was thinking.
Great 1st impressions Wii_man, I so do agree. I wasn't expecting much, but picked up a copy, I think on release day (not sure). It was a bit of an impulse buy as I had some money burning a hole and decided to go for it. I have heard Game Cube fans rave about the series on these and other forums. I think it retailed at £29.99 as well.
Some of the levels you play on(each game board is quite different to the next) remind me of Snakes and Ladders, and the Tycoon board is a super competitive version of Monopoly.
Mini-games come into play often as you work your way around the board but can also be played separately. As in you could just battle your friends all afternoon on Mini Mario Kart- played with Excite Truck style control method, on any of the hundreds(?) of other tidy little Mini games.
There are also a collection of games that you can use your Mii's for. I can't deny, I was pretty excited to see my Mii's at a different bowling alley, ping pong table(far superior to Wiiplay's ping pong) and playing simultaneous baseball 'Whack it out the park' in 4 player split screen!
Now I have this game and Eledes I am very keen to but two more Wiimotes as both these titles I believe will provide the best 4 player action yet seen on the Wii.
Sorry for waffling on Wii_man and hi-jacking your thread,

But who'd of thunk a board game on the Wii could be that much better than I thought it would be.
