Spiderman - First Impressions... - WiiTalk

This morning Spiderman landed on my mat from the rental company I am using.

I've gone through the 'training' part of the game where you learn the controls and the 'punching' seams a bit wrong as you don't punch with the controller and nunchuch but you rotate the controller left/right instead... :(

Crawling on the ceiling and walls works quite well and the graphics are reasonable. Spiderman himself is a bit rough and ready so they could of spent a bit more time and get his graphics polished off but never mind.

After playing this game for just under an hour I am not too impressed with the gameplay and am beggining to think at 26 years of age (OK 30), I may be a bit too old for this game as it's not keeping my attention.

Yeah the reviews haven't been too kind either...
Is it true you shoot webs and move through the city using the Nunchuch and Wii Remote as if you were firing webs from ur hands?

If the game is half as bad as the overrated Spiderman films then I wont be bothering with it.

(watched them for the first trime recently) (1 + 2, not 3, yet)

Shame really - I loved Spiderman when I was a kid...

I actually like the movies themselves...

But the game, I have the same opinion than wii_man...

The characters are really roughly made, Peter Palkers actually spooks me up!!

And yep you can shoot web from nunchuck and wii-mote, though I don't think swinging them as if you're swinging the webs does anything... I think the analog stick does that...

Though this game is a good intro on Spiderman, I'm hoping they will bring another Spiderman more polished furter on in Wii's life!

Oh an please don't make it movie based, dang it....

Yes, it was disppointing

the web swinging could have worked so well on the Wii. The graphics are clumsy and the fighting is boring as hell. Shame, really.

this game could of been a top one if they would of cared to spend a little longer on it

Couldn't agree more!

I sent it back to my rental company the other day and have just looked online and they are sending me that Rapala fishing game next - so that should be landing on my doormat pretty soon (depending on how often Royal Mail keep on striking)...

Sorry I thought the strike wasn't going to effect the mail?
