My initial impressions are that God Father is fantastic! Its rated 18 by the BBFC and I can see why!

The streets that you wander/drive around seem to be pretty repetitive (which is a shame) but the controls more than make up for it.

After playing this game for a while it kinda makes you feel odd, as if you are doing something wrong, let me explain...

If you have ever played games like Grand Theft Auto, you will understand what The Godfather is like. The key difference between the 2 games is the controls.

In GTA when you shoot someone you wiggle one of your controllers around, when you hit someone over the head with a baseball bat you wiggle a button and even if you punch someone (yes you guessed it) you wiggle a button.

With The Godfather on the Wii when you puch someone you have to make the punching actions with the controller and nunchuck. When you shoot someone you use the controller to aim and pull the trigger. When you hit somone over the head with a baseball bat you make the actual action with your Wii controller!

The first time I beat someone up by punching them and then finished them off by grabbing them around the neck and breaking it, I had to put the controller and nunchuck down as it fealt like I had actually done it!

I wasn't wiggling a control around but actually making the motions with the controller and nunchuck which made it seem so realistic that I actually fealt bad about what I had just done...

With regards to SSX Blur, I've played it on the PSP and think that the unique controls on the Wii could be quite fun so thought I might as well put it on my rental list!

I haven't played SSX as of yet so for all I know it might be a load of old cheese!

Once I have played The Godfather for a bit longer to see if it gets better (or worse) then I will post a Wii_Mans review on it in my blog...

I know of three gamers who have returned/exchanged/sold SSX Blur after playing it for about 5 hours each. Each of them has moaned extensively about the control system, especially the activation of the 'uber tricks'.

It seems that for some the Wii controls are not as intuative as they are for others....... Shame because all of them liked the game but just couldn't get on with the controls...

I'm sure I have read that somewhere on this forum too, that's why I decided to put it on my rental list and not actually buy the game just yet.

I'm enjoying it so far but I am finding it a bit difficult at the moment as I don't know what to do when the police come shooting at me! They keep killing me - lol

I guess I am going to have to do that dreadfull thing and read the manual...
