Gamecube Games

I never really bothered with the gamecube, but now that I know I can use the Wii to play gamecube games, I might just consider looking into it.

Anyway, did the Gamecube have online games? If so, will the online capabilities still be available via the Wii?

The Gamecube only had one and a half online games as far as I am aware!

One was a roleplaying game that I forget the name of (and wasn't that special).
The other was 'meant to be' Mario Kart Double Dash but it turned out that it could only be played by linking consoles together (although some people used third party PC software to enable it to work over the web)

I got stung big time by Nintendo over this as you had to buy a broadband adapter and then they never really supported it. Nice one Nintendo, not!

Ah well. Guess I will need to wait until the Wii has some online games available then That is something I am really looking forward to...
