I am thinking of purchasing the Lego Indiana Jones game, I thought The star wars version on the ps2 was quite good, but not anything that kept me hooked. With Lego Indiana Jones, do you keep hooked to the game? Does it work well with the wii? and is it better than previous star wars titles? Can people who have the game put there opinions forward to help my purchase.
My husband and I played Indy for several hours Friday night, so we're quite hooked on it. I've not given it my full attention yet as we're still working our way though Star Wars, but I really wanted to check it out. I LOVE the Star Wars game, it's one of my favourites, and the Indy game is just as brilliant in my opinion. My only complaint is I miss my light sabre!
A friend of mine said she didn't care much for the Star Wars game for her PS2, either. But I believe her game was just one episode, not the whole 6 films? Is that how yours is? If that's the case, I think it would be rather boring, too. Well, not as fun, anyway.
There is SO much to do on these games because they cover all the films. And even when you play through them once, there are things you can't do until you get certain characters (for example you need short characters who can climb into tight places). So after you've gone through it the first time, you'll to go back with other characters and pick up things you couldn't get before.
We've spent more hours on Star Wars than any of our other games. I suspect we'll be spending a lot of time on Indy as well, though probably not as much since it only covers 3 films instead of 6.
Hope that helps.

Queenvic, none of the games are just one episode/film only
the original game that was released on several formats was the newer 3 films all bundled as one game, they then released the Original trilogy, which contained films 4-6
this was then followed by the complete saga(not released on PS2) that has all the 6 films bundled into one game with a few extras as well
the lego indy game for the DS is pretty good, and im getting it for my youngest son for his birthday and will sit and play it for hours on end with him, much like i did with the star wars games
Games that HAVE to be released on the VC
Pilot Wings
Desert Strike
I quite liked Star Wars (the complete saga) on the Wii, but personally I'm finding Indiana Jones a lot more fun.
Both good games, but for me, Indiana Jones is noticably better.

Oh that's interesting. Thanks for clearing that up. I really didn't understand why my friend didn't like it, especially when she's a hard core gammer and is into Star Wars.
Jordinator - What is it you didn't like about Lego Star Wars?
Soyabean - What is it you like more about Indy?
Now I'm curious

Maybe there was a PS2 Demo level supplied on a cover disc. That could explain it.
As for the game if LSW didn't hook you LIJ is much the same, personally I like it but as with all these type of hunt and puzzle games they are not for everyone.
Its good and enjoyable, I think star wars is harder. On the indie game ive done the raiders series and the first of the temple of doom and have not missed collecting the full complement of lego tiles whereas in star wars one glitch and you can struggle to collect them..
I havent played any of the lego series games, but my Brother who is 38 and son 9 loved starwars, the bought indy not expecting to hit the same note again but it delivered for them. My brother raves about it, so for a grown man to enjoy and boy then it must have something that appeals to all?
Personally I'm looking forwad to the Batman Release!
I think I prefer the combat in Indy - in Star Wars the lightsabres were good, but I didn't like having to use them to deflect bolts, and the way that after 3or 4 swipes, there's a pause before you can swing them again.
In this I find using the whip and punching, kicking, Indian burns, throwing chairs, spears, swords, using guns, hitting on the head with spades etc. much more varied and fun.
Plus I think I prefer the setting and the music from the Indy films.
They are both good though.
