Default Medal of Honor Vanguard coming in March

EA announced today that they are developing Medal of Honor Vanguard for Wii and PS2.

The game is due for release in March 2007 and will build on the franchise's sterling reputation for historical accuracy and authenticity, as well as introducing a new "heroic" storyline.

In the game, you'll take the role of Frank Keegan, Corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division, and engage in battles throughout Europe. From Operation Husky on the shores of Sicily to Operation Varsity inside Nazi Germany, you'll fight behind enemy lines in the epic WWII battles that turned America's first paratroopers into heroes of WWII.

EA promises the title will take full advantage of Wii's "one-of-a-kind controllers," and that it'll feature spectacular graphics, which will only intensify combat, making you the driving force in the struggle to liberate Europe.

"Medal of Honor Vanguard features a strong storyline told in classic MOH fashion," explained Matt Sentell, Senior Producer at EALA. "We are really excited to offer this game both on the PS2 and Wii, which will allow fans to experience MOH in a completely new way."

Interestingly, Medal of Honour Airborne is also set to be released on Wii in the future, alongside a version on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

This is one of the games I am really looking forward to - something to get my teeth stuck into and that will have a bit of longevity.

Might even provide me with some education, you cant really go wrong with games from EA.

I agree it will be a fantastic one to play - seems a bit of a late date to be releasing new titles to the the PS2 though.

The thing with these games is they are always better on the PC, so I never used to bother with consoles. But the Wiimote does lend another dimension that I look forward to exploring.

Hmmmm actually, just re-read my post and thinking about the logistics the wiimote is probably even better than that as it won't get in the way of gameplay.

hehe yeah.. that would get in the way rather alot! and damage ur eyes!! youd have to be so close the screen!

The best thing about MOH is the soundtrack i reckon. my mums friends in london are both professional musicians and played on the vanguard soundtrack!
