A quick question, have you played GH on hard? just wondering, as from what you have said it seems like you haven't.
Yep I've played it on hard, played almost all of the songs, and have definitely played it enough to understand it fully. There is generally a rhythm to the button pressing and whatnot, but trust me, you don't need any sense of rhythm at all to be good at the game. A friend of mine, who has a terrible sense of rhythm, is amazing at guitar hero. All you need to become good at it is to have good dexterity and co-ordination with your fingers, and to play the songs for hours on end until the button presses become motor memory. You don't need to understand the melody, the pulse or any of the musical elements in the songs to play well.

I don't know if you are a musician or not, but being one myself, with years and years of experience it is plain to see that you do not need any musical skill or understanding whatsoever to play this game. There's certainly skill involved, yes, but not of the musical variety.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not knocking the game, as although I'm not crazy about it, it's good fun and can be a great laugh with your mates.
