Hi guys.

I'm thinking of buying PES 2008 this coming Monday in Leeds for £20.00. I have loads of money at the moment and i am not really interested in any of the games i have got...so do you think i should buy it? Does everyone on here still love it and go on it?

In a word, Yes

Loads of people still play it and we are always having tournaments and leagues running If you're a football fan, then you should own this game!

I love football! It is thee greatest sport on earth!

I have no idea why i didn't buy it at the beginning of 2008! I'll get it from Leeds on Monday then.

Is it not worth waiting for PES 09 (if it even comes out)? Can you have automatic transfers within teams so that the players are all correct, like in Fifa 08, where that didn't even work!? Or can you just do that yourself?

Can't wait to get it now!

I would say wait for 09, but unfourtunately it looks like the Wii version won't be released until about March 09

Good point about the transfers though... I'm afraid the editing system on the Wii version only allows you to change team names and player names. You can't transfer players to other teams, edit kits etc It's a bit rubbish I know and it's one of the things I hope they sort out for the 09 version. But it can be overlooked because the gameplay is so very, very good!

Yeah. I will get 09 when it comes, but for now it looks like it's 08 for me!

Unfortunate about transfers and stuff . Is it with PES that they are not allowed to use real names of players or teams due to copyright or summut.

I'm guessing you can do transfers in the manager mode, where you play throughout a season?

In champions road (Career type mode) you play tournaments around different parts of the world. If you beat a team by 2 clear goals U can pick a card that has a player on the back of it. Eg. A card says "Amazing footwork on and off the ball" or something like that, if you were playing barca it would probs be ronaldinho. If you draw or lose you can only pick one card. It's hard to explain so if you dont understand just say. PS. when there is no lag the online is AMAZING. And like foo says there are loads of tournies and theyre great fun.

Yep, lag seems to have got worse again, at key times as well

Sometimes players teleport so fast you cant keep up with them! Conceded a goal today because of it
