Japenese Wii? Compatable In Uk?? - WiiTalk

Can anyone tell me if the Japanese Wii is compatable in the UK?
I want to order some from my supplier, but I've heard so many conflicting reports about the compatability, I'm not sure if they are or not?!

Anyone know for certain? My supplier has finished work now, so I can't ask him!.. if anyone knows, please do let me know...

Don't think they're compatable. We use PAL, Japan use NTSC. So you would run into problems playing UK games

UK PAL games wont work on an NTSC machine and vice versa.

The USA and Japan use the NTSC format whereas the UK and Australia etc. use PAL.

Unless you are only going to by games from the USA or Japan I wouldn't bother with an NTSC one and would wait and find a PAL one instead.
