Default Joytech Wii Power Station (Rechargeable battery pack/dock)

Rechargeable Battery Pack removes the need for replacement batteries and when you're finished gaming the PowerStation charges, stores and protects your Wii Remote so you'll always have power when you need it.

The unit will set you back £19.97 and you can get em from: http://www.gameseek.co.uk/pd/Nintend...tation#prodimg

Think of something from your childhood, a vivid memory. Between that time and now, every cell in your body has changed. So, were you really there?

After my first set of batteries ran out I thought of getting 1 of these but then realised they're not available yet :(

Spotted this on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Wii-Remote...33 0078172771

It's a rechargable battery that plugs in where the batteries normally go, and connects via a wire to a USB plug (so it can charge off your Wii or a PC). Only seem to be able to get them from HK though...

In the end I just bought a quick-charger off Amazon for £15. Charges regular AA's in 15 minutes and I can use them in other stuff too

Just like Millski (good idea there btw), has anyone thought of getting (if you have 4 wiimotes), 2 packs of these for £8.58 and an ultrafast charger instead?

Far cheaper if you need 4 'motes charging and has higher capacity (2800mAh ) as well so should last much longer.
I'm seriously considering it (especially if the charger is cheap) and may even get some extra battery packs too.

The charging station would be more appealing if it had 4 docking ports (if the wii is compatible with 4 controllers and lotsa party games need 4 people, why do they think people only have 2 wiimotes? )

A 4-dock joytech/nyko would be just the ticket, but the seperate batt/charger route also looks good until they come out
(plus, I'm not sure my "silicone jacketed" wiimotes would fit in the docks )

Mine are 2800's too but I haven't noticed any etra longevity sadly :(

On the positive side though it meant I had some spare batteries to go in my power hungry old digital camera to capture my daughters first snow I don't think I would have been able to squeeze 1 of the Joytech packs in...

Just seen this on amazon:

Amazon.co.uk: T-Charge Plus Storage Stand (Wii): PC & Video Games

There is also one that doesn't have plus, and the joytech one.

Has anyone used any of these yet?

They look like sellotape dispensers...

Does anybody know if the Wii still provides power to the USB port when it is standby as this would be the normal time people would want to charge the wiimotes?

Just wandered in to Game today and saw their own brand charger. It's a battery pack that only replaces the batteries (not the cover too) and a stand for charging. It's not out yet, there was no price and no cables in the pictures but I'll see if I can find some info.

It only charged 1 'mote by the looks of things, but it looked better quality than any others I have seen...

Found this which appears to be out now

Nintendo Wii Multi-Function 4in1 Stand

Sounds like it only charges batteries once they're out of the wiimote though
