Default Can my UK console play USA discs?
HI, Can my UK Wii play discs from USA and Japan?

Perhaps I would need a disc such as the freeloader I used with my gamecube so that I could play NTSC discs on my PAL console

Can anyone suggest what I need to do to my UK Wii console to enable it to play US and Japanese games?

im not sure if it can, but i know we can play aussie games cause there pal i think this would turn out cheaper then buying UK games

No, you can't play NTSC games on a PAL console.. yet.

I think you can play NTSC games on the PAL console because i have the wii and most of the games that i have is from tokyo

Like the other replies are saying, you cant play USA games on a UK Wii.

Not because they are from different countries (not region locked like DVDs) but because of the TV system in use (i.e. PAL and NTSC).

Here in the UK we use PAL games so you should be able to buy games from any PAL country like Australia and New Zealand.

If the console is modded you can play around 90% of the NTSC games.

Can you play NTSC Games on a PAL wii if your T.V is capable of recieving NTSC signals??? Theres gotta be a reason why my T.V has a NTSC option lol
