US accessories on UK Wii?

Has anyone out there ordered any US Controllers / Component Cables and tried to hook them up with your UK Wii? If so will you please post here how it went. I have a US Wii and I am moving to the UK so I have to get rid of mine and buy another Wii, I assume the controllers will sync as my PS3 and 360 ones will. I just don't want to have to buy all the accesories again at a higher price :(
