Default Silicone Cases

Anyone thought of buying silicone sleeves for their nunchucks+wiimotes?

Like this?

There are countless more similar items on ebay for pennies.

Anyways, I just purchased a full set of 4 (that's 8 pieces of silicone = 4 'chucks + 4 'motes) from an HK ebay seller.

The cost only came to £12ish, and they arrived today:
Hoorayyyyyyyyyy

I must say, they're a fantastic fit, look nice, and grip really really well:

They took about 7 days to arrive from purchase. You just need to remember to tell the seller what colour you want (I chose clear-white for all four sets).

Not only is the grip brilliant, but the biggest problem I find with the wiimotes is that someone almost always invariably accidentally presses either the "home" button during play (and so pauses the game in the middle of the action) or (worse but much less frequently) the power button is accidentally pressed.
The silicone cases effectively raise the "surface" of the wiimote, meaning that the "home" and "power" buttons are now v slightly recessed and thus, harder to accidentally press during play.
The other buttons are all pretty much the same, so normal control isn't affected.

Overall, a definite MUST BUY for everyone I think (especially at that price )

Cheers
Gaffer

I didn't imply anything of the sort...those are your words not mine (no need to feel so guilty ). Finding out that most things are made in China was exactly my point.

No. You're Wrong!

Have a look at the base of your Wii...it Clearly states "made in China"

Anyway, you two need to both chill out (I mean, who on Earth Cares that ninty are Japanese.....well I don't anyway), this post isn't about where stuff is made, it's about the (great quality) silicone sleeves I'm recommending.

sheesh...some people .....RTFM

Thanks for the info Gaffer (don't worry, I'll stick to the topic ), the silicon sleeves look GREAT =]. I've ordered 4 for myself. Hopefully will be arriving soon. Now my little brother can sweat on the case and not on my precious remotes =] (or nunchuks)

Peace,

I have silicone covers for my Xbox 360 controllers and they're great. I would imagine the improved grip on the wiimote would be a real bonus.
