I've just brought a 2GB memory card for my Wii and was wondering what you guys have been doing with yours, do you just use it for saving games or have you done other interesting things with it?
gonna wait till i've filled the wii's internal memory before i buy one. not much point getting one till then, plus i'm a bit tight when it comes to spending my cash.
At the moment that's all I have done. Not really sure why I brought one as there doesn't seem much point in them at the moment.
I know you can copy your saved games to it and take it round a mates house, but as you can only have one of each saved game you have to copy your mates saved game to another memory stick first, then delete the one on the system and then copy yours across and when you have finished you have to reverse the whole process!!!
I've heard rumours that peole of connecting their USB memory cards to thei Wii and that gets recognised as an 'SD Card'. From what I gather you have to make sure you have nothing in your SD slot for the Wii to detect your USB memory stick or even a USB hard disk.
Not sure if this is fact or not, just something I have heard.
At the moment it just doesn't seem worth buying an SD card until they come up with some proper use for it!
Just remembered, for the first time last night I actually used my 2GB SD card!!!
I copied my saved games across to it, took it round my mates house and (once we played the game at least once) copied the saves across so I could show him what I have been up to!
Other than that (just like most people), it sits in the Wii doing, well nothing really!
