Gaming projector recommendations?

Hi Wii community,

I am a newbie Wii user, just bought one these days. I would like to use a gaming projector to play the games as well. I did some research and the Benq MP512St seems to be a good entry projector. It is pretty cheap and uses short-throw technology, so I might go for that.

Has anybody tried the MP512 and can share experiences? Or, which other gaming projectors would you recommend? My budget is roughly 400 pounds though...

Well, I'm not an expert on projector's, far from it in fact, but my dad and I recently bought an Infocus IN1 projector for £180, which included a 54" screen. We weren't really looking for a projector, but that one stood out due to it's price, and because it was sold as a gaming projector more than anything else.

It's cheap and cheerful, with very few functions (you can adjust focus, brightness, and volume (the one we bought included a speaker system which clips onto the bottom)), but it does what we want it to do, ie. project the Wii onto the big screen. It has the component inputs, so you can have the best possible display quality for the Wii.

But, obviously, you have a bigger budget, so I'm sure there is a better one out there for you. Just giving you my experiences.

can i ask where you got that from mate as im contemplating getting a projector for my xbox soon. doesnt have to be anything special really so that sounds ideal, not too bothered about the screen as there are a few quite good cheap electric ones on ebay that i like the look of.

There is only 1 projector on the market that any self respecting man should buy, but its not cheap at around £1800

It's a life size R2D2 complete with millenium falcon remote control, it is without doubt the muts nuts guys. Find one at them cool gadets sites like "I want one of those" .com or something.

I have one of this but it doesn't work. Everytime I turn it on a princess appears and asks me to find a guy named Obi-Wan Kenobi. The main point is that I don't know who this guy is. Do you think that if I find him I'll be finally able to watch a movie?

im afraid you not gonna get manying people who know much about projecters on here but ask about tvs consoles games and normal hardware and we're your forum
