Hilly do you want a lodger because i think me and you could talk for hours. I couldnt have put it better myself with regards to the horror genere during the 90's, far to much low budget rubbish and endless part 7 this and part 8 that. Scream truely should be regarded as one of the top 10 horror movies ever made.

Watched a film not so long back which was a fairly low budget brit flick, it had the young lad from Eastenders in it (mathew in Eastenders i think) and it was about an evil genie type thing that could posses people. Very good film imo seeing as it was brit made, well worth seeking out. Sorry i cant remember the name though.

Slightly off the point, but me and the current prospective Ms Bede saw 'The Grudge' (remake) going cheap some time ago, so bought it to see what it was like. The absence of music and general creepiness got to us both, so we didn't mind when it went missing. Freakishly, when I went to sell on my xbox at Game, the took it away to test it and the shop assistant came back with the Grudge DVD which neither of us could remember putting in there.......

The grudge....................man that noise the girl makes freaks me right out. Very creepy film, and i actually prefered the us remake.

staying with japanese horror i watched the original RING with jo one night (jo hates horror films they scare her to death) anyway by the time the girls crawling out of the telly im hiding behind the sofa and jo's just sitting there saying what a load of rubbish

i honestly didn't sleep well that night

I've never seen the Ring...I've read the book and it wasn't really scary but it was awesome!

Book adaptations are a real lottery in my experience. Read quite a lot of Stephen King, but most of the screenplays are quite frankly awful (barring Misery and 1408 mainly).
