For those multitudes out there who keep on about lack of consoles, I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes out.
Yes, demand is very high but supply from ninty is still good.
This is what I've been able to get hold of since launch day (up to new year):
1 for my friend (who paid me cost price)
1 for my 2nephews+2nieces
1 my other nephew bought for himself
2 my brother got hold of for 2 of his friends (both of whom paid him cost price)
1 other my brother got for me as a pressie
So during the month of December, between us we've managed to get hold of
6 in total (none of them bought from ebay either...all bought from shop stock and only one of them was a pre-order).
...in total it ends up being 2 from Tesco's, 2 from Gamestation, 2 from Game
Yes, it took some leg-work, yes it involved some qeues, but we
still managed to get all of them with very little hullabaloo.
Summary: Surprisingly for a next gen console, the Wii will
not come looking for you. You will not hear a ring at the door, which will turn out to be a Wii patiently waiting for you on the doorstep. It will not proceed to walk into your living room, locate your display, and plug itself in.
In short, if you persevere and if you
really want it, you'll be able to get one no problem (and then it's FUN all the way

)
PS and also there is no need imho, to go the ebay route and pay scalper's over the odd's for what is a £180 console.
