Default Ordering your Wii from Germany

With the current lack of stock in the UK and the crazy prices on Ebay, I ventured to Germany (Amazon.de) - considering that quite a number on Ebay were from Germany!
I managed to order myself one from one of the marketplace sellers at an all-inclusive price of £230 (including delivery), and should hopefully get it next week.
The guys there certainly have stock of the consoles for between 310-350 Euros plus another 10-15 Euros for shipment.
Websites are predominantly in German, and I found a very good translator on http://babelfish.altavista.com/, which helped me understand the German websites. Alternatively, you can email them in English and they respond back in English usually within 24hrs.

Worth a check out if you're keen to pacify the other members of your household (like I was).

Contact details I got are:

service@gameground.de (contact is Kathrin Wüstner)

"You could order the Nintendo Wii in our own Online Shop at www.gameground.de. We offer several gamebundles for 309,98 Euro . For example, we have the Nintendo Wii + Wii Sports + Wii Play (including an additional Remote Control) for 309,98 Euro: http://www.gameground.de/shop/ninten...e-p-17717.html

The shipping costs would be 19,00 Euro. You can pay via paypal or against prepayment. I hope, this will help you."

With kind regards,
Kathrin Wüstner

=================

hauseinkauf@Kroco.biz (contact is Arkadius Gala)

"Will shipped it next business day with dhl.
Thank you for your purchase
If you need more from this console, than please let me know. We got 17 in stock. Best wishes for the new year
Thank you again"

Arkadius Gala

Hope that helps someone out. Don't forget to request the original receipt for warranty purposes, if you decide to give it a try.

Cheers.

This is Kathrin Wüstner from Gameground.

For we had several requests regarding the nintendo wii and wii play, I'll post the answer to most questions here:

We had some Wiis, but at the moment they're out of stock. We expect subsequent deliveries the next days or 1-2 weeks.

Wii Play is out of stock at the moment. We expect subsequent deliveries the next 3-4 weeks.

The german Wii ist compatible to UK Games, for it is also an PAL System. All you need is an electricity adapter for electrical outlets in germany distinguish from yours in UK.

In the end I have one request: Please do not translate your english questions by using babelfish. It translates word by word and ignores the context. For example, a question achieved me if we send the receipt for warranty purposes. Of course, we do, but there are two different words in german for receipt, and babelfish does not know, which one the customer meant.
We understand your request in english

For any other question you can ask me via Email: service@gameground.de

My Wii finally arrived today from German after patiently awaiting my delivery from one of the Amazon.de marketplace sellers, Arkadius Gala (hauseinkauf@Kroco.biz).
Bit disappointed that it had already been opened and the original receipt wasn't with it, despite the assurances he gave.
The jury's now out on him , and he's got 24hrs to advise what he's going to do to redeem the situation before I raise with Amazon.de as I paid for a new Wii :x
Not the sort of thing one expects, and I'll keep the board posted on developments.

Sorry to hear about that mate, give em hell

Think of something from your childhood, a vivid memory. Between that time and now, every cell in your body has changed. So, were you really there?

Positive developments...the seller's been in contact to try and allay my concerns.
Also, a big thank you to other messageboard members who provided reassuring feedback (see http://www.wiitalk.co.uk/advice-requ...ease-t344.html) - I feel a lot more confident about my purchase.
However, still chasing up the original receipt and should hopefully resolve that quickly.

Yeah, seemingly happy with my purchase. I'll be setting everything up this weekend, and joining the Wii revolution
Must say, Mr Arkadius Gala has done his utmost to try and allay my concerns - so guess it'd be a verdict of not guilty (once I've flicked on the switch this weekend)

There was a thread on here the other week saying that Wiis were in stock on amazon.de so I went ahead and got one. It came in 4 days and even with postage it only cost about £165-170. It did need a plug adapter but I managed to get one for a fiver in Argos thanks a billion whoever it was who mentioned that they were in stock, you saved me ages of checking stock websites constantly.
