Chat Room Rules & Help - WiiTalk

Welcome!

By now you should've noticed that WiiTalk has a brand new Chat room for it's members

If you haven't spotted it yet...

Due to the problems that the last chat room caused, we're going to be more clear on the rules for this one. We also have moderating powers on this chat room, although I don't expect we'll need to use them

Firstly signing up

To sign up to the chat room, simply click on the 'Wii Chat' link and it will go to the right page. The chat room is Java based, so make sure you have the latest version running. Once loaded, you will be confronted with a Log In screen. Simply select the name you wish to use and log in. Once in the chat room your name will appear on the members list on the right.
It is very important that you register your name as soon as you enter the chat room for the first time. To do this, simply double click your name in the list. We only want registered members using the chat, so make sure your name is relevant to your WiiTalk name too

Once you have registered post in this thread saying what your name on the chat room is. E.G FooFan - FooFan

From then on, when you try to log in as the name you registered it will ask you for a password

Rules

No Swearing
No Spamming
No Trolling, Flaming etc
No unregistered users. If your name is not registered, you will be kicked.
You can recognise Chat mods as they will have a badge with a 'm' next to their name. Please respect them and their decisions.
Just generally treat it like you treat the forum!

I think that just about covers it. Any more questions etc, just post in the thread

Is this the same one as in the test chat? If so my username is leemonkey. I cant get on it at this computer so I cant check. Plus, the old one crashed for me on firefox, has anyone tested this one?

I'm not sure if it's the same one as the test, tbh, but I'm running it just fine in FF 3.3 right now.

I'm using it in FF 3.0.3 Monkey and all is well.

I got that message perpetually with Safari with the beta, and couldn't get past it. Tried the link this morning to this version and still no luck. Fingers crossed the mac version of FF plays nicely.
