Seriously though, as I've posted above, WiiWare has been partially brought in to enable small developers produce content that wouldn't normally be able to reach the public through conventional means (i.e. shops).

As far as I'm aware, some of the PS3 downloadable content isn't free.

WayForwards announced LIT for WiiWare - NeoGAF

It's called 'LIT'.

LIT is a 3D horror puzzler set in a dark high school overrun by creatures. The game follows Jake, a below-average student and the game's protagonist, as he makes his way through each classroom, utilizing what light he can find to create safe paths across the darkness. Jake's objectives are to escape his school and reconnect with his girlfriend, Rachael, who uses the school's phones to keep in contact with him. LIT combines environmental puzzling with horror combat and boss battles to create a uniquely unsettling Nintendo Wii experience.

Even if it is ugly original, I wouldn't mind seeing it on there because at the end of the day, its good for new developers to showcase their talent. Look at Worms for example - the original designer was a "bedroom coder" but was picked up by Team 17 at E3 I think it was. More recent games like Geometry Wars (I think) also started off as a game on X-Box Live (didn't it ?).

We need better Software Houses in the UK, man. I mean, it is quite embarassing that we're one of the top economic/political/powerful nation in the world but I don't see many Independent Developers - never mind a Console Manufacturer.

It was on Xbox live, but only because it was popular as a hidden extra game in Project Gotham Racing .. .. ..


On the Wii Software issue (for that is what it will be called in the UK) I hear a rumour that Atari are remaking Gauntlet for the Wiiware channel that will have mutliplayer online .. .. .. .. "<mojo> needs food" .. .. .. now that would be worth 1500 wii points!

A system just isn't a system until it has a version of Tetris (and no, hacks don't count), so it's a good thing Nintendo that Hudson has announced a multi-player Wii Ware version of the game

Hudson have finally gotten around to announcing a Bomberman game for the Wii. For the console's WiiWare service, to be precise. And it's not some mini-game thing, either. It's a proper Bomberman game. It'll support up to eight players in the one game, and - according to Famitsu - should be out in Japan sometime in June. Can't wait.
