Default WiiWare has arrived
Thats right. This morning for us here in the states WiiWare has landed. Right now there is a selection of 6 games, but sadly the strongbad game is not to be found
  • Defend your Castle: 500 points
  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles My Life As a King: 1500 points*
  • Lost Winds: 1000 points
  • Pop: 700 points
  • TV Show King: 1000 points
  • VIP Casino Black Jack: 700 points.

While looking through it I think I figured out what the dreaded "Pay to Play" option is. From what it sounds like is that you buy a license to download it, then when it comes out it is automatically downloaded to your wii, subtracting the cost from your wii point balance. Although I could be mis-interperting it, I hope you can just download them individually.
That is all for now, as I am already late for school, but I think I might go through my Visa gift cards and see if I have enough money to buy FFCC:MLAAK when I get home, and I will tell you all about it then.

No way, 1500 pts for FF! I just got rid of a load of stars and point codes cos I thought 1000 was the max for anything :(

Now to figure out how to get 500 more points...

I'm very interested to see what the Euro launch line-up will be. Looks like they're doing different games for different markets. I've got some points sitting in the account for months. My 3rd VC game is going to be purchased this week and I'm saving the rest for WiiWare!

Well, I have $20 left over on a visa gift card from my birthday that will start being billed in november, so I thought why not just get it now. It sounds like a great game, and it is only 1/2 the price of a budget release, so I have nothing to lose, and at the end of the day how much is 1500 points. I know here in the us you can make that much working 2 hours at minimum wage, so worth a try.

I personally think that the Defend your Castle game will be worthless as I would rather go and play it online instead of wasting points on a wii version.

OK, I just found my GiftCard so In about 15 minutes I will have it downloaded and in about 30-45 minutes I hope to have enough gameplay experience to write a basic review.

If that is the same launch line up as for the UK, my kids will be disappointed!

All they want at the moment is Pokemon Ranch.

I've accrued 2200 points waiting for WiiWare to arrive, but there's nothing on that list that we would want.

Hope they release a few a week like with the VC, but I think I read somewhere that it would ony be one a month or something.
