Following on from the successfull 'Username explanation' thread (including the great superhero discovery) I was also intruiged to find out the story behind people avatars on this forum.
Me? Well, I'm a DJ and a it was my ambition when I was younger to DJ at one of the all night raves that frequented the late 80's early 90's - hence the smiley faces. When I found this avatar by accident - I had to have it!
Mine is pretty pants compare to most peoples. I didn't know what to pick, I did have one just saying Wii. But someone new came and also used it, So I changed it to this one lol. I might have to find something more personal soon?
Well there's not really much to say about mine, I got the original Snake picture when I heard Snake would be in Super Smash Brothers Brawl then added my own background while playing around with the tips on PixelXS' website.

Another one I don't really need to answer!
Well I'm a Bond fan, and that's a brilliant bit of the film from one of my favourites, Goldeneye. I found it online somewhere, and decided to keep it for all forums I join. I probably won't ever change it, because it causes confusion!
Do people find (or is it just me) that you associate the avatar with the person? What I mean is, when you glance through the forum, the avatar reminds you of the person more so than the username?

Yes, I do that. If someone who's had an avatar for ages suddenly changes it, I get really confused. I tend to look at the avatar more than the username to see who has posted.

Thanks JB, I thought I was losing it then!!
Oakyboy is a perfect example, he changed to a wii toaster which I'm hoping will be explained in this thread - but when it did change, it did puzzle me for a bit.
