1500 Pots after my 1st Re-intro thread (
1500.. must be time for a re-intro then!!), I've finally hit the big time.. welcome to my RE-re-intro thread!
What's been going on in the last 7+ months in the world of me?
* House
A few months before my last re-intro, Nic & I bought our 1st home together.. a nice little 1930's 3 bed semi off a guy who's wife had got a job in New Zealand so was selling up to join her out there - alright for some!
We've only got the dining room and back garden to do now I think.. plus a bit of decorating to finish here & there but it's coming together nicely.

* Wedding
On November 7th Nic & I got married, we had some crap off the Wedding Coordinator.. well their THIRD wedding coordinator since we booked it with em.. 2 left, 3rd was SO rubbish.. we got to the week before and he hadn't finalised ANYTHING then went home to Czech until THE NIGHT BEFORE our wedding.. unsurprisingly we threw a strop and demanded that the Manager handled our wedding.. fair dues to the guy, he did an amazing job and the day was great.. dumb-dumb took over in the evening, which could've been better but pleh - was the day that mattered

* Job
As you may or may not have seen me say.. I work for the Ministry of Defence.. nothing fancy, just an admin assistant.. that's what I do now anyway.
Before december I was maintaining 4 in-unison multi million contracts for spares for one of the largest fleet of vehicles out there on the front line - oh yeah!
Nothing went wrong, they just couldn't keep me in the same department as Nic after she took on my surname - it's against the rules.. and she's been there 8 years more than me!
Anyway, when I was originally taken on I wasn't interviewed so couldn't be offered a permenant position as it wasn't fair.. so recently a casual position came up doing exactly what I'm doing already now so I took an interview for it and am now an official casual - woot
But in 3 to 6 months they can the option to make me permenant, which I'm sure they will.. I've made myself known (in th good way) since I've been there.. my name is known and I've even been mentioned in a top level management meeting!
(Because I was leant to a department to help on something that was taking them months.. I helped em for 1 month and have been told I did about 50% of the overall work!! LMAO)
Plus my wage is going up about 1k starting this month
...Nic still earns about 9k more but hey, can't have everything! lol
* Cat... plus new cat!
In December we obtained our cat (Sacha) from my parents; he's a 4yr old brown burmese and wasn't getting on with their male siamese so were going to rehome him - and we were ready to start looking for ourselves so it made sense
He's seemed quite lonely.. so we looked into getting him a friend.. not a male though, that would be counter-productive
We went to see the RSPCA yesterday and 1 of the cats there was a 6 month old black cat called "Hops" (as in beer hops).. came from a rough family who's kids treated her like a toy.. [insert a few ill-mannered words about them here]
We took Sacha on a meet-and-greet this evening and, ell they didn't attack each other so bonus.. we're picking her up next Thursday and taking some time off between us to keep them company and keep an eye on their progres together
And the name "Hops" will be long gone.. I'd like to introduce you to Bella!
