Whats the deal with lag in the matches? I for one am not going to be playing in terribly laggy conditions because it messes up how you play as in your character does not react quick enough to dodge etc.
Even slight lag is frustrating as you tap y and it takes 1-2 seconds for your character to jump...hmm hopefully you all have good enough connections to handle a 1on1 - dont be downloading anything

If a game is too laggy Im gonna no contest and try again another time just want to see peoples views on this as both contenders can see the lag surely?

It depends on who is playing, and I know this because it happened to someone I played with in the states.

They were connecting wirelessly through their neighbors unsecured wireless, so they had a bad connection and were really slow, but then when they got the Lan Adaptor, so the internet got strenghtened. When the internet was slow, every match they played in would be laggy, but when they sped it up, it wouldn't lag anymore.

Basically, it is dependent alot on the people's internet, and they lag the entire game if there connection is bad.

aww man, my copy of brawl was supposed to have come on friday, but it should have come by the 7th, so you can sign me up... but i'm guessing you are full up... so how about you sign me up to the next one? lol

any idea of when the next one will be after this one? even a guess?

Stick me down for this. Although be warned my gf gave birth to my son on Saturday and my playing time is sporadic to say the least. I will try in earnest to make the evening of the 7th as open as possible, and pray I get an undestanding opponent who will probably thrash me in seconds anyway due to my lack of practise
