Default is there a way to...
always show all the posts from the beginning? i find it annoying looking for posts then realising its not set to beginning

Goto your user options and change the 'Default thread age cut off' setting to 'Show all threads'.

If this isn't what you mean then please explain further

try clicking the forum catagory, to the left.. just right of the stars, to enter the catagory split... then again into the thread youre wanting to go to...

I guess youre clicking the thread link on the right of the board page... which hotlinks to the last post in the thread.
