Censor user? - WiiTalk

Seen it on forums that use this hoster.

Basically you can click on someones profile and decide you want their posts to be censored so you can't read them. Works a treat really with so many people around with nothing to say.

I would assume building this into the forum won't be hard since its propably a tool box option.

So is it a way to ignore someone then? like someone who posts needlessly and you cant be bothered with their rubbish that it just doesnt appear?

Am i understanding correctly?

All their posts would appear to you as 'this person is on your ignore list' the post would still be there taking up space but you would see that message instead of whatever rubbish they put down.

oh right that sounds not too bad, would you be able to take them off your ignore list if you wanted to aswell? Would the person you have blocked know they were ignored by you?

Yes you would be able to remove them. They wouldn't know you had them ignored unless you told them.

I think it sounds like a good idea.
I don't think I would personally use it, but I can't see it doing any harm if others wished to do so...
Unless someone is trying to help someone who has ignored them

My only problem with this is that the person you ignore might make a good and useful post, but you wouldn't be able to see it.

No harm in adding it for people who want it though as it would not affect me.

I don't know if anyone has this option (I might have it because I'm a mod) but if you click on someone's name and go to their profile, there is an option saying add so-and-so to ignore list. Do you have this option??
