Go to the bottom right hand corner on the main channels page. The button will lead you to the message board. Click the button in the bottom left hand corner which should say something like Create Message. Select the right most picture (Address book) and your Wii code is on the first page.
If you want the Mario Strikers code, go to the online option, go to friend's roster and your code should be under the title at the top.
Bond has explained it the best way I can think of.... maybe someone could take a photo of each step and show you.... I would do it myself but my camera is busted...sorry :(
