Default temporary profiles

we need to set up some kind of guest system where guests can post their problems and when they are answered leave cause atm we have thousands of 2 post people who regestiter then leave
if we had guest profiles their question could be answered and they could stop clogging up our members lists and if they like it they could always register at a member

what you think?
maybe a poll if people have different opinions
(im off to bed now so i wont replie til 4pm-ish tomorrow sorry )

my codes are in the spoiler

Things to do: playthrough 2 on mass effect , All of Brutal legands side missions, PLAY ON MY WII XD, Halo Legandry on ODST and 3, Cod4 final missions on veteran, MW VeteranBorderlands full gamerscore

I tend to agree with the Private. Registration is a slight aggravation to go through for new members which rids us of a small amount of spam for one thing.

God appeared to have reacted badly to Bede's prayer for electricity to charge his DS

Bede hit the nail on the head. What you suggest would open the floodgates to spam-mongers.

And the problem you describe is no different to any other internet forum.

The important thing to remember is that it is free to join any you can get virtually any query answered. For some people, that's enough. Not everyone feels the need to join the community once their query has been answered.

After all, I find a forum every time I have a problem with all sorts of things - but there's no way I ever intend to become a regular at all of them! You pick your favourites...

Have to agree with Sue. If you have ever searched for problems in my line of work you come across ExpertSexChange.com quite a lot and you simply can not view anything without registration ... our forum is a lot "guest" friendly as browsing is allowed and most problems are already up here i'd say.

Most of the '2 post' brigade are for things like "got any star points?" or "i'm stuck on SMG" when if they just searched around they'd find the answer

Look Benny, my trophies just for you!

Agree - I find loads of info from other forums without the need to join up - if they're missing what I need I'll join and ask.

Oogie has enjoyed Professor Layton over xmas.
Oogie's alteregos Lock, Shock and Barrel are into NDS homebrew, and are:
- very pleased with themselves for cracking the router problems
- enjoying the wifi connectivity with homebrew IRC

What line of work are you in?

Joking of course, fortunately they renamed the URL to experts-exchange.com, but the rest of The top 10 unintentionally worst company URLs are mostly still there.

Perhaps this website is run by...

MORIARITY!!!!

But seriously, I agree with everyone here. We have enough spam bots making their way in and causing chaos among this great nation of Wii users, we don't need to make it easier.

The only real way to solve the 'problem' of having too many registered members would be for the Admins delete any inactive account (e.g. One that hasn't been online for at least six months).

The draw back? The humongously massive new work load would flatten our admins and then there'll be order and there'll be chaos and members will run riot and J-Monkey will run naked and people will post and post and TG will go CRAZY with spam and spam bots will spam and everyone will get spam mail and Sherly will have to start posting an electric chair because he would have gone MAD and Hoo will turn to drugs to block out the disturbing images of porn spam he'll receive and then WiiTalk will die!!!

End.

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
