Default Learn Kung Fu ?

Hi all, litrally just got my Wii played boxing on Wii sports for an hour and now have collapsed help someone phone an ambulance i have a tingling sensation in my arms i am sweating profusely and i am short of breath think i'm having a Wii attack.

Love it first console i have baught since my PS1, but truthfully i baught in the hopes of somthing abit more educational, basically if they arent doing it my idea goes like this.

With two nunchuck controllers you could place two in the hand and on each leg or some such and from that you could learn to do taichi, kung fu, boxing etc, the Wii could measure ya movements ( like they do when they put those white balls on guys in black suites for CG modelling ) it could then tell you ware yuor going wrong, so yuor actually although not as well as you might with a real instructor learning to do things like taichi or kung fu etc, then you could spar against the PC, then take it online, then get drunk and take it to the streets, ;P.

What ya think having fun, getting exercise and learning somthing kinda cool and useful think thats possible ?

any way hi all, love me Wii

Hello and welcome to the forum!

You have some interesting thoughts/ideas!

I did hear a rumour round here somewhere that a fitness game is possibly on its way so your suggestion may not be all that far away from reality...

me being a regular practitioner of wing chun kung fu, believe the wii would be a great tool for learning the basics. the whole first form; sil lim tau, should be able to be detected by the wii's motion detection. welcome everyone to the 21st C wooden dummy.

or you could just tie a ribbon round your head and punch the crap out of a virtual bruce lee.

either way, awesome

Tai Chi is more of a softer style, whereas Kung Fu is more of a hard style.

They're meant to complement eachother to a degree so doing both is a good idea imo

proper tai chi is also known as the ultimate fist and is a proper martial art and kung fu. a doctor took parts out of it to create the healthy tai chi that we see our grannies doing, however almost all the moves can be learnt through healthy tai chi just you wont know how to use them.

if your intrested in martial arts a great series to watch is 'mind body and kick A*s moves' or a any chinese film hehe.

taichi is very slow in its form and learning it according to one chap you can learn basic kung fu in a year but taichi equivalently to be able to use it would be more like ten, but tai chi is slated as thee martial art, and i have seen a fight ware a taichi teacher was getting semi friendly abuse from the karate teacher and the did have a playful spar to saught and the karate guy was made to look almost amature which he wasnt.

I'm alright i use a projector so no TV holes though i have already smashed my rooms main light shade while cheering for myself in Wii boxing and i knocked a FULL can of beer flying across the room playing tennis, it was alright though i sucked it out the shag carpet :P mmmmm beer

Does anyone else find the Boxing on Wii sports a little frustrating to the point yuor swinging and swarring like a mad scotts man.. oh just me then

Ed gaffer74 luv ya forum avatar i want a Mii like that.
