AYE .
But I can see that we'll end up with a very long list of games. Who is going to post the game titles up ? Will it just depend on what people ask / want to know or are the mods going to post every single title up ?
The latter seems like a huge undertaking to me. The former would be doable but it will only be as good as how many people actually review/rate it.
For example, if I wanna know about 'My Horse & Me' (the game that is !) and put up a 1-10 score poll, just how many people do you think will reply ?
See what I mean. So in that case, the scoring system wouldn't be a true representation of peoples opinion because only Sue would have rated it .

We could have a poll thread where you're given 10 options of what game you want rated and discussed the following week . Then each week just renew the poll (if thats poss)
Then for that week we create a thread for the game with most votes whilst voting for nest weeks subject game .
As long as the threads are in its own section they should get some attention .
Oh I don't know

Welcome to mojo's secret treasure hunt. Follow each clue carefully ...each clue will take you to a post of mine where you'll find the next clue.

Games like that would be included. It's very minor games which not many people knew even existed that wouldn't be listed. Games like Agatha Christie which only one or two people on the forum own would not have their own thread.
The more well known games, maybe not the big releases, would be listed, and then a request thread could be set up for people to request which game they'd like to see done next.

Like the sound of this !
The charts that I update, as JB said, only get votes for current favourite games, so this, if administered correctly, will be very interesting and helpful

I think its a great idea, I know I'd find it useful.
As long as people only vote on games they actually own and have played though, otherwise I reckon you'll get games like Brawl getting 10/10 from people saying 'this will amazing when its out' and other games like Wii Chess getting 1/10 from people saying looks boring who would want to play that. (I'm not saying Brawl won't deserve 10/10, I'd just rather hear it from someones who's played it).
I find reading people reviews very interesting, but it takes a lot of time and effort to write one. So it'd be good to give people a quick and easy way of giving feedback on what they think of a game.

Good point. I think there should also be a restriction on how soon after a games release before it can be rated.
MK Wii would get really high scores at the moment, but that's mainly because of the buzz around the forum. A couple of months down the line, whilst some people will still rate it highly, others might not think it's as great as they once thought.

As everyone only votes once it's up to each of us to use restraint and decide carefully before voting?
Another forum has a single thread dedicated to each release (a great idea from the Nintendo section moderators) where it can be discussed and a poll on how good the members think the game is. Similar to Foofan's idea for Mario Kart but with a poll.. .. .. .. .. I think that's the way to do it because inevitably the threads with the polls will become discussion threads anyway.

Sometimes it can be hard for people to have restraint, especially if it's a new game, it's all too easy to get that buzz.

I think waiting a month after the release of a new game would be a good idea. Everyone buying it soon after release will have had a good chance to play it and get a good idea about whether they like the game or not. It's easy to insert a game and enjoy it for the next 2 weeks, but will you think it's so great after a month or so.

I would only be in if Geometry was Galaxies was included, I'm sure Cpt could also vouch for that!
