Yes you can change it in your profile options
http://www.wiitalk.co.uk/forums/prof...do=editoptions
You can either turn it off altogether or just allow PMs from people on your buddy list.

On the subject of PMs, I have thought it might pay to have an option for people to report PM's, like they can report posts. This would save people having to forward it on. I don't know if it is possible, but I will ask bronco to see if it can be done.

What about a sticky thread. Cut and paste jobbie. Maybe it might act as a deterrent as well.

The only trouble is the PMs that are brought to my attention shouldn't be posted on the forum for all to see!

I've received two. Perhaps they go through the members list in alphabetical order, most of the PMs I've received have also had JBond007 listed as a recipient. That would hopefully mean they can be stopped before they reached you?

I don't think it's anyhting to do with alphebitical order, I've had quite a few now. I tend to check and see if the sender has been banned before I start forwarding them on though. Not much point in reporting a banned member, what more can be done by then.
I think a report option on PMs would be good. Plus remove the option to send multiple PMs out in one post making it harder for spammers to do this sort of thing in the first place. Imagine how long it would take to send out 500 spam PMs if they had to be done 1 at a time.

I think it is limited to 5 people at a time. Removing that option would make it harder for spammers, but it would be a pain for team's taking part in the WiiTalk quizzes or tournaments.

Perhaps then restrict sending PMs to multiple destinations to those above 10 posts (if that's possible?).
