:evil: The Ps3 is the worst console i've ever seen First it's gigantic also they keep the same old design over and over again also they copy other companies ideas. The whole ps3 is a shambles
I voted no opinion because im trying to holdy judgement.
But so far this is what I think. Too expensive, Bloody farse with the delays etc.
Unless the price comes down I for one won't be buying it. Not botherd about how it looks tbf hat doesn't matter to me. The only reason it is delayed is because their too busy messing about with stupid Blu Ray.
PS3 is going to show everyone that Sony is the best it is for serious gamers and tech freaks like myself and I will be getting one. I have a Wii its amazing bit of kit but still I feel the PS3 will be on top of the console scene for a long time and the XBOX will disappear.
Consoles should be affordable and about innovating gameplay. Sony are jsut adding a load of tech ****, kind of stuff that attracts rich nerdy kids. Wii does something different, thats why im getting one. And its quite affordable.
Bluray ffs. Im not buy a hdtv yet either, to pricey.
see now.. this intrigues me... People having a go at Sony for delays... ermmm aren't a number of members here still waiting to obtain a Wii, either a pre ordered or otherwise? Nintendo had such a fantastic distribution infrastructure that they were able to honour ALL the orders on the release date... Didnt they? OR... did they just do as EVERY consol manufacturing Co. do and generate FREE publicity with low supplies... Cmon the marketing guys aren't stupid.. they know what new releases are like AND the ensuing mayhem that surrounds release dates....
That said... Sony are buggering about a bit... though i dont subscribe to the "copying Nintendo" arguments... thats just life.. one bod brings out one thing... everyone else emulates it...
As for the size of the PS3.. How do you know what the size will be when its FINALLY released in the UK... Look what happened to the PS2.. it was only out a short while before the slimline model was released... Whos to say Sony wont make the UK release the time to bring out the Mk 2?
Nintendo and PS have never been the same platform, and marketed at different areas... The PS was always considered the "serious" gamers platform (along with the 360) whilst Nintendo was more the family entertainment system.. Hence them sticking for so long with cartridges... faster loading than disks were so lil Jonny didnt get peaved on Xmas morning... The graphics have always been "cartoony" and playability fun factor higher.
So basically its horses for courses... PC, PS, 360, Wii... you pay your money.. you make your choice...
I'll probs buy one.. after the first 6 months have passed and prices come down.... But the jury is still out till i can actually see/play one
dealy during development of a console cant be complained about, what good is it if they sent them all out with faults instead of taking extra time to repair. Distribution is a difficult thing, especially considering nitendo and sony are in japan. And produced in japan?
this poll doesnt have enough fair answers either, and i dont see how its the worst? its an expensive more powerfull PS.
Comparing a Wii to a PS3 is like comparing apples to oranges.
Comparing a 360 to a ps3 now that's intresting.
Let's be frank right now the PS3 hovers in it's own limbo with as little momotum as possible. In the US there are no wii's to be found yet PS3's can be found in bulk with niche intrest.
Ie Sony has lost the ability to sell it's consoles before it's hit one million units. MS has 10.1 and Nintendo 4-5 million sold. What does that tell you?
Well it tells you that the 360 has taken over with it's headstart, the architecture of the console is much prefered to the ps3 from a developers stand point. The developers have had one year to develop brilliant 360 games and have came through full force. The ps3 launched with games done better on a 360 but lacked gears of war / dead rising and others.
Now who's heard of wii60? it's in my pic, basically it's a working internetism for people who say no to Sony for a 360 and Wii combo. This will destroy the ps3, if you use the logic...
A wii and 360 with some games are cheaper than a ps3 without games.
The addon to play HD movies on the 360 is not built in, you do have a choice and it lowers the price a ton.
You can have the best online system (xbox360) and the best gun games (xbox360) and you can have the best single player games (nintendo wii) for the price of a ps3.
The 360 currently matches the ps3 graphically and due to the fact developers know the 360 very well and the wii uses similar developing programming to that of a GC, games are fairly easy to design. They also have much cheaper budgets to outragious multi million pound cell games for the ps3 that confuse the hell out of developers.
In short the developers right now are ditching the PS3 as their exclusive (GTA / MGS / FFX / Tekken ectra...)
Ps3 is going nowhere fast, Sony would be drowning in blu ray (all those delayed and anger it's caused) before long if it wasnt for it's still successful ps2.
