Capcom is the latest publisher to shell out cold hard cash to be able to use Unreal Engine 3 from Epic. The engine will be used in an as yet unannounced game being developed in North America, which pretty much shoots down any chance of it being a new Resident Evil.
"The Unreal Engine is one of the most powerful and versatile tools available for next-generation game development," said US Capcom boss Mark Beaumont. "More than just a graphics engine, UE3 will empower the development team to create the quality experience that gamers expect from a Capcom product."

Epic's Mark Rein must be laughing all the way to the bank, but found time to add, "Capcom is known for the quality and artistry of their games. We're glad that Unreal Engine 3 can be a part of their creative process."
