NEW PSP!!, its crap

whats so good about the new one? no built-in camera, no 4gb only 2gb (i think 4gb can be purchased) and the wi-fi button moved. BIG DEAL, oh and its a bit thinner, sorry but sony are seriously doing crap these past years, how on earth did the ps2 do so well?

Looks almost the exact same as the old PSP to me. Don't see the point in it.

That's a bit disappointing. You would think that if you were going to make the PSP better you would focus on some of it's biggest flaws. The dodgy control stick, for example, which really hurts your thumb after playing.

I personally didn't see anything wrong with the weight of the PSP as it was.

The TV output does sound good though, you have to give Sony that.

looks better - not as chunky.

Sure they could have done other things to make it better but the PSP only has another couple of years life in it before a new one comes along, so a redesign is good, if someone has not bought it yet then they can get the new one, if u have the one already then you dont need to buy it simple as that.

Its not a completely new console remember and a redesign.

Look at the DS when it got redesigned, they never changed much bout that did they?

sure it looks better, but it is probably just as good as a usual PSP. also on the site it stated the UMD slot also rattles about when it is open, so this would be liable to break easy wouldn't it?

i personally don't know what goes on in sonys head, they are repeating it but taking some of the pointless out from the old one and hardly adding anything else.

They could of made it a touch screen for easier navigation on the home screen to.

Pointless is all i have to say overall

Good point. To be fair the DS really needed to be made lighter. Remember the old DS and how chunky it was? Not exactly portable. I had no problems just putting my PSP into my pocket when on the move. To be fair to Sony, at least they done something about the battery life. Does anyone know how many extra hours you get from the new PSP?

I wish they done something about the noise the UMD makes when it's being read though. That was another problem with the PSP.

That was an intresting post to read. Nice to see you've changed.

IMO when the old one has design flaws that make it more differcult to play, it needs updating. The control stick being as it was is just sony not admiting they made some silly mistakes.

I had one of the slimline expensive ones.

All I remember about it was it's poor build quality, poor sound quality, and..er...I cant think of a third cos the first 2 were so great.

my son who has seen the new psp has said what a load of old rubbish thats me cleaning up his language by the way. we have the psp and i think its fine as it is.
