this game is much better than most of the the review scores it's had. the graphics aren't bad they are a bit dark and fuzzy but the framerate is good.i think the controls are very good why some people said they were bad i don't know.online could have been better with a lobby it takes a while to find players to race.but the races i have had have been lag free.i would give nitro bike a solid 7/10 and at £20 it's a good buy.my friend code is 352313560782 for anyone who wants a game online
The controls are exactly like Excite Truck. Although maybe a bit less responsive than ET!
My youngest son has unlocked a new stage for single player - BOWLING!
Apparently it is unlocked in career mode when you fall off your bike 25 times (not sure if that is in one race or what)
Anyway, he did, so he can now go bowling in true arcade style!
You race towards a barrier, and when you crash into it, your body is flown through the air to hit 10 giant pins that are way ahead of you! It's bizarre, but fun!
Games owned (that I play): EA Playground, Endless Ocean, Excite Truck, Ghost Squad, Gottlieb Pinball, HotD, Kororinpa, Link’s Crossbow Training, Mario Kart, Mario Party 8, MySims, Pinbusters, RE:UC, Super Paper Mario, SSB Brawl, Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii Sports
I think i may get this after reading your review! I have never played excite truck for some reason it has always passed me by? Which means this game will be brand new to me
Massively underrated game, for £19.99 brand new, you can't go wrong with this, the controls are nowhere near as bad as most reviewers make out. Graphics are solid yet unspectacular, erm the physics and crash responses etc are exactly what you get with a bargain bin game like this, nothing special and at times fudged to say the least.
Haven't played it online yet, might give that a go sometime when I get a chance. If you've not played/owned Excite truck and want one or the other, I'd say go with Excite truck, it's a prettier game, with similar controls, yet better gameplay.
