*cough* sorry doylen but I think there are some inaccuracies in your review.. .. .. PBR is not really an RPG at all. There are only the battles and so it does not compare favourably with the DS (or even GB versions). Yes, it is a graphical feast compared to the handhelds but the action is essentially the same, turn based, battle.. .. .. the animations happen (like on the DS) and still don't really interact with your opponents pokemon.
I think that owning the more flexible DS version makes you less likely to want to own this as apart from the graphics, there are no real benefits to owning this title. It's a real shame, because it could have been a fantastic experience if they'd included some element of RPG. Apparently Nintendo are already working on a fully fledged RPG based Pokemon Wii game.. .. .. I'm going to wait for that rather than buying PBR.
