If no one is going to raise attention to this game then I guess I will!

Pokemon battle revolution (or pbt for short) is the kind of game that has stuck to a well suited formula and there for want be getting any awards for originality but yet it does the RPG genre a credit.
Since the wii was realised fans have been wanting more activity between wii and ds pokemon answers there prayers, if you own a ds with pokemon diamond/pearl then this game allows you to import all pokemon from your ds onto your wii and allows you to fight online with them – whets so good about that I can do it on my ds? Well if you want to see your pokemon in hi res graphics then you should do it – don’t care for graphics? Well the online also differs from the ds because you don’t need friend codes you can battle your hand held pokemon against some elite Japanese pokemon freak!

Apart from the wireless and ds options pokemon br offers some pretty awesome graphics and shows that our fave pokemon can be even cuter. Although this game features some grate features it does have a bad side  you can no longer pick you pokemon at the start of battles you have to use battle card witch are the hand picked pokemon and if you don’t have a ds you feel like your not being treated equally because the ds owners can use all there pokemon but apart from those minor set backs the game is a must have for pokemon fans so let me break it down for you
Graphics – look fun and very hi res
Game play – online ads a bit of fun but if you don’t have a ds I don’t recommend it as much
Lifespan – again the online makes the game last longer
New features to the series – ds linking is amazing

So in conclusion I can give the game two different ratings
If you own a ds with pokemon then
9/10
But if you don’t then
6/10

*cough* sorry doylen but I think there are some inaccuracies in your review.. .. .. PBR is not really an RPG at all. There are only the battles and so it does not compare favourably with the DS (or even GB versions). Yes, it is a graphical feast compared to the handhelds but the action is essentially the same, turn based, battle.. .. .. the animations happen (like on the DS) and still don't really interact with your opponents pokemon.

I think that owning the more flexible DS version makes you less likely to want to own this as apart from the graphics, there are no real benefits to owning this title. It's a real shame, because it could have been a fantastic experience if they'd included some element of RPG. Apparently Nintendo are already working on a fully fledged RPG based Pokemon Wii game.. .. .. I'm going to wait for that rather than buying PBR.

Yeah I was never really going to get this game anyway, A fully fledged RPG would be good though unless it's anything like the GC one which to me was a let down. Tbh I havn't been much of a Pokemon fan since the days when there were only 150 of them, those were the days....

I've been looking to buy this for Petey. You need the ds game to get the most out of it? But it can be played without owning a ds?
