"Unleash your inner rock legend!"

The moment you open the box, you know that this game is gonna blow you away! The white Gibson Les Paul replica guitar controller
looks fantastic, and the detachable neck is perfect for storage (and taking it round to a friends for an allnight session). You get a sticker
pack with the game to customise your guitar somewhat, different "rock" style images (including an evil little bunny that takes pride of
place on my Guitar) You'll be forgiven for throwing the box to the side and getting stuck straight into the game. The first thing you'll
note is that you can't use your Wiimote to point at the channel to get it started, that's when the little joystick on the guitar becomes
useful, you use it to guide you cursor around the menu. It's a little awkward but useful, and when you click on the channel, your ears are
filled with the noise of Guitar!

Now if you've never played Guitar Hero before then you'll want to take yourselves over to the Training section, and then kick it into
Tutorial mode where "The God of Rock" and "The Devil" will guide you through the basics and help you onto the more advanced
techniques. Even the Guitar Hero veterans should delve into the Tutorial, as they'll teach you the basics of the new Guitar Battle mode.
Once you've grasped the controls, move onto the Career mode. This gives you the opportunity to start a band and work your way through
all of the songs to become the greatest band in the world. You'll first want to give your band a name like "Hell's Kittens" or something
(no i didn't call my band that) then you'll be presented with the character select screen, here you can choose a character, change your
guitar and change your appearance. Then you'll be presented with a cartoon introduction where you'll meet the band, and then you'll be
put into the setlist (I think, at least)

The main idea of the game is to complete the setlist (which is a list of songs) to progress from one venue to the next. The initial venue
has you playing to a crowd in your backyard, you'll be able to play 4 songs at a venue. Playing on easy you'll continue to the next venue
once you play enough of the list. Playing on medium and hard you'll have to complete a certain amount of the songs to unlock the Encore
(or boss battle) once you complete the encore you'll be moved to the next venue. The venues are brilliantly styled and look absolutely
amazing, the crowds look brilliant and definetly add to the concert atmosphere. The band itself looks amazing, the singer actually
lipsyncs to the songs (which is something that the previous games never did) and the band itself looks very detailed. You'll also notice
some big names come to join you on stage at some points, such as the legendary Slash.

The game overall, is brilliantly fun and you'll not be able to put it down. The difficulty is just right (well up until the final two venues -
when all bets are off) and the soundtrack itself is very impressive. The graphics overall are stunning, a huge improvement on the
previous installments (provided you played it on PS2 and not XBOX360) and the game handles without a hint of frame drop. The guitar
works perfectly, and looks the part. Also with the new faceplates that will become available you'll be able to customise the attachment
even further. To be honest, you'll be crazy not to buy this game. I mean who doesn't dream of being a "Legend Of Rock"?
GRAPHICS - 5/5 : They looks stunning, and the band has a personality now.
GAMEPLAY - 5/5 : The gameplay is remarkable, it's easy to pick up and very enjoyable.
AUDIO - 4/5 : The soundtrack is brilliant, alot of amazing songs packed into the game. The only problem at the moment is that the audio
seems to be in mono, so surround sound users will find it only plays sound from your front speakers. Not too bad but hopefully activision
find a fix soon.
SCORE: 97% - Top Game, well worth the money. Will keep anyone entertained for hours.
