Default Donkey Konga

Following my first review, I figured (with some advice) that I would help some of you who are new to the world of Nintendo, to have some fun with some other options available to you out there.

I am going to review a game from each console working back each time. All games I review will be Wii compatible, and availiable widely. Most from now on will be through VC. I will also help by offering my information on late wii titles too.

Today: Donkey Konga.

Forget Guitar Hero, this is where it all began.
As mentioned in many discussions, having a monkey in a game improves its popularity. This all began with the introduction of the big ape, Donkey Kong.
On this 1 or 2 player GC game, you get thrown into the Jungle, with variety of different tracks. Your game aim is to play the bongos to the beat, either, left hand, right hand, together or clap (with its sound sensor).

You can have hours of fun, and plenty more hours orf annoying those around you, with the laughing, banging and generally having fun.

If you liked Guitar hero, or have never played a musical game, give it a go, its good fun, and worth a try.

Graphics - 7/10
Gameplay - 7/10
Price - 4/10 (hard to find now, thus price rising)
Sound - 8 -10
Replay value - 5/10 or 7/10 (multiplayer)

Total rating : 62% C Game

Was this review helpful to you?
How could it be made better?
Would you like my reviews in the future?

Thanks

A

im a fan of donkey konga to great fun! you can pick it up pre owned now for about 12quid (game station) donkey konga two's probably a little bit better (better mini games) and if you decide to buy it keep a look out for donkey kong jungle beat a platformer also controlled by your bongos i think i might go and drag my old bongo's out now and have a bash on the wii

Nice review!

Donkey Konga Multiplayer = 10/10 a must!!
Single player, there isn't much to keep you coming back...

I bought it when i got the Wii as I never had a GC, but my firend did and whenever we played this it was some of the most fun we've ever had!!

needless to say it always makes an appearence when there's a lot of us and a Wii console

I saw it in my local Gamestation for about £6.50.
In fact as an aside, they do 4 GC games for £20

for all you donkey konga fans out there due for release any time now is donkey kong barrel blast originally planned for the gamecube and played with bongo's! the control's have been adapted so you now use wiimote and nunchucks as drumsticks (could be good or bad)

I've actually been trying to sell Donkey Konga 2 for some time. I refuse to take it to Gamestation as they will barely give me a fiver including the bongos.

I'm advertising it on Amazon minus the bongos because Amazon fix the postage rate and I know it'll cost loads to send them in the post. They're huge!
But if anyone here wants the full monty, I would happily send both game (immaculate condition) and bongos so long as you covered the full postage and packaging cost.

DK2 is superb, but I've had it since it came out, and have tired of it now.

Fair enough about finding it cheap. My only real retailer of preowned, is Blockbuster Games, and they charge a fortune... £20-£30.
