Good review, as always wii_man, but for once I will disagree with you. I bought the game for a Wii Party, and all of my friends got bored with the board-game style gameplay. They still found WarioWare and Wii Sports to be much more fun. I didn't mind the game that much, but it is pretty boring on your own. If the mini-games were all unlocked from the start, it would have been accepted better, but I did not have time to go through and unlock them.

i think u will find that most people don't mind the word s****** on the forums, so please stop abusing your admin powers...

[EDITED BY WII_MAN76]

I suggest you read Rule number 1...

You may not realise it, but in the UK the term you refer to is normally used in a derogatory and offensive way which is why I chose not to type it.

This is not "abusing" our so called "powers", it's simply keeping this forum a happy and friendly place as it has been right from the start.

I hope you understand this and don't take it to heart.

Derogatory

Like I'm going to put it in this forum! I'm not going to say what the word was and if any one also knows, please do not post what it was. If you really want to know what it was then google it.

Just a few examples in this thread. I don't think editting one word is abusing my power tbh

Question

Im glad WiiMan liked Mario Party
. MArio Party the marmite of nintendos franchise.
For years mario Party being the fifa of the nintendo market, releases another version every 5 weeks, until your more broke than ever.

So now we are up 8.
Whats the 8th version got that the other ones do not?
Hmmm.
Not much in hoensty.
The game this time is set ina carnival style, which allows you to play the mini games directly , and enter the board game directly.

the games are fun, but the board game itself, I cant explain it.. lets go with the phrase..if it aint broke..
sure the format aint broke..but they do not seem to have fixed it..or even tweaked it.

Sure I might seem to be a bot harsh there, the looks are slightly different, but in retrospect what else is there? I thought mario party on gc was better.

The thing that annoys me most about mario party (even though I keep buying the wretched title) the board game mode, is so s..l...o....w
It seems to take forever.

I would like to skip the introductions, have faster board movement, heck broadband has made me impatient!

We all love Mario , thats a given, however I think its time Mario Party moved on a bit, adopted the melee aproach as in who you can play as.
Sure the whole cast of mario is here, but who really wants to play as ghost or skeleton turtle? I would rather have link.. kid icarus.. or Samus.
As much as I love mario mario, I feel a bit diluted of my love after playing such a pro mario game, lets get more nintendo charchters in the titles for a bit of diversity.

If you have played mario party before, thats what your getting mario party from before.
If you havent played it... its difficult to say, but I would say rent first.
Wario Ware is better, and I would say probably raving rabbits (which I had on xbox and was more engaged with)

anyway.
gameplay: 6/10
sound: 6/10
graphics 4/10 (I do not think they are great)
lastability 5.5/10 ( a great mulitplayer game, but takes too long)

Seven words that I think describe this game pretty well.

Slow
Poor
Atrocious
Substandard
Tedious
Irritating
Crap
