Just to let you know, if you want your reviews included in future editions of the WiiTalk newsletter, they must be no longer than 600 words. It is also best that you review a new release, as these are more likely to be used.
Can I just post a suggestion to anyone who is reviewing a game?
It occured to me that the rating is of interest to parents looking to buy a game for their children, so it is worth adding this in the top info.
Plus we have had a couple of threads asking how a game is controlled. So I have added this info to the top of my three reviews as well.
I think this is a useful piece of info, and I think it would be good if Guko and the others that do reviews go back to their old reviews and add this info in.
Would that be possible at all? Maybe the mods could add it to any reviews done by people who aren't about any more.
Right, I've spotted another game that amazingly hasn't been reviewed yet. I'm on a mission to review Wii Play today!
Games owned (that I play): EA Playground, Endless Ocean, Excite Truck, Ghost Squad, Gottlieb Pinball, HotD, Kororinpa, Link’s Crossbow Training, Mario Kart, Mario Party 8, MySims, Pinbusters, RE:UC, Super Paper Mario, SSB Brawl, Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii Sports
Thanks for the support, Alex. I don't want to tread on anyone's toes, but when you start doing these reviews, you think more about the relevant info that people will be looking for at the top of the review.
I've been out all morning, so I won't get Play done today now. Hopefully tomorrow.
I didn't realise you were intending to do it. I was just trying to add what I could to the section.
I have 5 other games on my shelf which are not yet reviewed, but I'll need some input from my children to produce a review as I don't play them.
If I can glean enough info from my kids about any of these, I'll put reviews up. If anyone else has any games that have not yet been reviewed, please feel free to have a go!
It doesn't matter if they are old. Imagine that you have literally just bought a Wii and find this forum. You will head for the reviews section as a total newbie looking to see what games are like, new and old.

Does it have to be a game that hasnt been reviewed. If you have a different opinion on the game surely you could do another review? I would be interested to hear your views on REUC as I'm thinking of getting this but the previous reviewer didnt seem to like it.
Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero III, Battalion Wars 2, Medal of Honour: Heroes 2, Mario Strikers Charged, Excite Truck, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Big Brain Academy, Metal Slug: Anthology, Wii Play, PES 2008, Endless Ocean, Super Paper Mario
DS:
Mario Kart, More Brain Training, Advance Wars: Dark Conflict, 42 All Time Classics, Project rub, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Yoshi's Island DS, Picross DS
360:
Halo 3, Mass Effect, COD 4, Ghost Recon, FIFA 09, Top Spin 3
So the admin team would rather see 5 different reviews of the same game than just see people exchanging opinions on one review thread?
If that is the case, I will gladly review more games. I just didn't want to upset the apple cart, or go wasting my time if it wasn't the right thing to do.
I guess people will soon work out which reviewers are most like them. I think Alex has done a brilliant job with his reviews, but I don't necessarily agree with every review I have read here. But unlike some people who are hardcore gamers, I am very much a casual gamer, and therefore judge games differently, I should think.
I know nothing about a game's "AI" or "GPU" (I think I've heard that phrase, but it means nothing to me so apologies if it's not quite right). I just judge a game on how much fun it is etc. I say what I see.
Hm, this should keep me busy for a while...
