... i just played it for the first time this weekend gone and was slightly dissapointed, i've only played about an hour and a half but it hasnt grabbed me at all yet ... in fact i turned it off becuase i was bored!
Let me guess - you're stuck at the vilage at the start?
If so, you haven't even started...
I could carry on - but if you give up after only 1.5 hours then maybe Zelda isn't for you. - Your loss though.

Agreed. Zelda is one of those games that you need to stick with and really get into. But, not all gamers want a great 40 hour epic adventure game and that is fine.
The funny thing is that I can kind of understand what Wii_man is getting at as I actually enjoyed playing Twilight Princess more than Ocarina of Time
I got stuck on OOT and it totally took the fun out of the game, whereas with TP, I didn't get stuck at all and I was just enjoying playing out this great adventure, learning new parts of the story and exploring the massive world
However, when I was playing OOT i was a lot younger and i think this has a lot to do with it! My brother who is 16, just did not get on with TP and i think that most kids his age wouldn't either. He found it too hard and wasn't enjoying playing the game, which basically reminded me of myself when I was playing OOT all those years ago...
Zelda is THE adventure game of the Nintendo. No game will ever come close with Story lines, Enemies/Bosses, Temples, Puzzles... So if you like adventure games i can't see why you wouldn;t like this. If you prefer games that are just all out fun and get straight to the point, then you may want to give it a miss... But try it again in a few years
P.S Giving NFS Carbon a higher score than Zelda is sacrilege!

I think you have hit the nail right on the head there!
Not having played anything like Zelda before I thought I would give it a try and didn't get on with it. There was so much hype I thought it was going to be an amazingly impressive game and for me, it wasn't.
I enjoy car games like NFS and Excite Truck and enjoyed the new way of contolling a car which is one of the reasons it scored highly with me!
My reviews are only my personal opinions so they may be a bit 'hit and miss' for some people!
Believe it or not, I have never played a Zelda game in my life! It keeps on cropping up in conversation on this forum so the other week I finally decided to buy a copy and see what all the fuss is about…

He meant before he played Twilight Princess...
But Wii_Man's review is a great example of why not everyone will like 'The Best Game on The Wii'. If it's not your style, then it's not your style and no amount of greatness can change that.
