It's nothing to do with kandi, it was agreed it would stop because no one had time, last one got i think 2 entries, possibly 3. So what's the point in doing it with that many entries? It wasn't kandi's fault
I've just been having a look through the older threads, and it looks like they have stopped due to a lack of entries. If there is enough interest, I'm sure they will start again!

Just a random thought I had, while visiting another forum. To encourage people, rather than just winning and gaining nothing, why not say they can have a custom title for the week/fortnight, saying they are the latest winner. Also, medals, or some kind of reward could be issued, which the winner can put in their sig. The more SOTWs they win, the more medals they are entitled to in their sig.
Also, if interest is low, it could be monthly, to tie in with the New Member of the Month awards.
Your idea of awarding medals is good.
You could maybe accumulate 3 bronze awards before exchanging them for a silver one, then get three silvers before going gold, then get three gold before going platinum.
Anyone getting a triple platinum award could then get a special achievement award or something.
The awards would have to be customised though, otherwise some clever herbert could just cut and paste them into his signature without winning them!
I wish I was talented in this department, but I'm not.

I was thinking that. Maybe a different designed medal for each competition. But then they could still easily copy and paste, we'll just have to keep a look out for that. I don't think anyone would do that though!
