Provided that a link to the image file is sent via PM to the recipient, and when they make their updated sig they remember to 'flatten' the file, it will make it harder (but still not impossible) to copy .. .. .. maybe update the rules to 7 day ban offenders?

I think Captain should submit entries as he is obviously very good at it !
Maybe the entrants shouldn't be "set" and people can enter if they wanted to even if they can't make it all the time. I would like to try but it depends on my mood / free-time really and I have only done a couple of sigs.

I can find the link to any image file i want (right click image > properties) copy the image location and i've got the link... Although i wouldn't its easily done.
I like the idea of the medal thing though, i've seen it on other sites  |

He has been around a bit lately. However if someone would like to get the next SotW running, go ahead. There seems to have been a bit of interest lately, so I think we can get the ball rolling again. Mention the reward scheme, to let it be known to people that they will have something to show in their sigs for their efforts!
On that topic, we will need someone to design the medals. It would be a good idea if the medal could be related to the subject of the compo. So if it was a TV show theme, the medal could read 'Winner of the TV Show SotW' so they are custom to the theme. We could do with a gold for the winner, and silver for the runner up.

I'm willing to make the medals but I'm sure others could do a better job  . I was thinking, if the medals for each SotW are unique, maybe the mods could make a locked thread with peoples usernames and a small picture of the medal they've won, making it easier to keep track of who deserves the medal in their signature.
