Well, let's kick things off with a follow-up to my mid-week post. Seems a lot of you agree about the PS3 being a major flop. But, hearing news about the PS3 release on friday, it seems there were a number of things happening that made out that Sony where panicking somewhat about their new release.
The one that stood out for me was the fact that Sony were giving away 32" Bravia TV's with the first 100 PS3's bought in certain shops down south. Let me put that in to perspective for you... 1x Bravia is around £900.
So... (and this is the tradgic bit)...
100x Bravia is around £90,000
That is a hell of a sweetner. Infact, that's close to just dunking an entire sugar plant in a cup of tea... ack!!!
So, not only are Sony selling the PS3 at a huge loss (about £200-300 loss per unit), but they pull a huge foolish stunt like that, and lose even more money. Well, I say foolish, but very beneficial for the people who got their hands on them

. But I bet Sony will eventually feel like they were in a shoot out, drew their gun, pointing the wrong way and fired.
So moving on....
Last week, I had a bit of a rant about Nintendo and the VC, and about the lack of the amazing games we were all promised. I am very pleased to see this week that they have eventually released the best, in my opinion of course, Zelda game. Link To The Past is here, and is yours for the princely sum of only 800 Wii Points. Get in my Wii... NOW!!! Yay!!
So hopefully, we will see Lylat Wars shortly...
So something new for this week...
I've been hammering away at WarioWare all this week, along with my girlfriend, and dispite what people have said about the game, I'd just like to say it's fantastic fun, and there is not a single person in my home who has not played this game to death this week.
Funny thing is, I've had the game over a month now, and it just seems this week, everytime I walk through the door, someone's on the Wii, giving the game another hammer. Happy days!
But, talking about this, I've decided, it's time we have a bit of a question of the week (QotW) on the Sunday Session... but, I'll leave this at the end of this blog... Actually, scratch that, I'll whack it in to another thread, that way it'll seperate out the comments from the Sunday Session, with the answers for the QotW.
Moving on now...
I've been thinking of before the Wii was released. Nintendo promised us online gaming and DS connectivity. But, at the moment, were still waiting on this. I ain't mad, but more selevating over the propect of some new fresh ideas that Nintendo will bring to us.
Will we get downloads for the DS using the Wii?
What games will link up better the Wii and DS?
What games are Nintendo going to make as their first online games?
Will Nintendo expand upon their Mii ideas?
Many questions... not enough answers yet, but I think it's safe to say that Nintendo WILL push the boundaries of imagination. And I can't wait!!!
TANGENT ALERT: It's just occured to me, with the Sunday Sessions, I don't seem to go of on strange little tangents like normal, but that also begs the question "What the hells wrong with me?". Who knows, watch this space.
But lastly....
...now, I have tried to keep the Sunday Session down to a minimum this week, as last weeks did go on somewhat, and was a big chunk to read...
... I'm really looking forward to Smash Bros coming out. I can't wait, and I'll be whacking on a pre-order as soon as possible. But what I really want to know is what games everyone else is looking forward to.
For me, the past two Smash Bros games have been excellent fun, and huge "must-buy's" for many people, so I can't wait for Nintendo to serve up their next huge slice of fun.
So there you have it, plenty of topics to discuss, plenty of things to ponder about, and also, someone try and find my tangent mojo for me, I think it's fell down the back of the sofa, could someone get it out for me. Cheers.
Look forward to all your comments...
...Oh yeah, remember to have a look at the QotW, and leave your input for all the forum to see
Muchos Muchos Grande Pantusos!
