what do i need to do to get a level 7 in the tests
e.g punctuation ect ....

SATS? 7 isn't that like year 6 stuff? anyway I got 5 in it. You shouldn't be worrying about a bloody 7...

(i thought level 7 was only capable of getting if you are specially entered into it, and only if your teachers thought you would likely to get it? I remember a couple of my class including me got entered into the level 7/8 exam... FAILED it terribly... the questions we attempted (we did it as a group as we weren't actually going to put the marks forward), we got most right, but the rest were impossible as we hadn't learnt that more advanced stuff )

Well like Haunter said, it all counts for squat in preperation for GCSE's...Of course you shouldn't lose your focus along the way - and they will base your 'set' for what your SATS where...If you don't like idiots don't get 3/4's.

Don't worry guys, SATs are nothing to worry about.
The grade boundaries are very slick and easy to pass indeed - I did no revision and did mighty fine - Level 7s on all.

And the other thing is, it means nothing to you! They don't get counted for anything, regardless of what the teachers say: they are just for the school to look good.

I was always good at English, A at A level for language and B in literature but **** or Average at most of the other subjects.

To get a good grade at SATS, it's all about READING THE QUESTION, i know it sounds awfully obvious but it's so true, you gain dozens of marks just by noticing things in the text. IE Paragraph layout, Personification, metaphors used , oxymorons(latter probably not in SATS) .

But if you've studied your lit then there's no reason why you can't gain a level 7.

Albeit it's no big deal at all, i know a guy who got a level 5 and he's studying English at A level and doing very well indeed.

SATS are very over rated and put too much pressure on kids, in the long run , as long as your entered for the right tiers in the subjects you want and you put the effort in, they aren't going to make much difference, UNLESS you get all 3's , but not many people get them
